Celebrating Ugadi and Ramzan at KidzoniaCredence International School

At KidzoniaCredence International School, cultural diversity is at the heart of our learning experience. We believe in celebrating festivals that bring communities together, fostering unity, and helping students understand the rich traditions of different cultures. This year, we celebrated Ugadi and Ramzan with great enthusiasm, ensuring that our students experienced the joy and significance of these vibrant festivals.

Ugadi: Welcoming the New Year with Positivity

Ugadi, the traditional New Year festival celebrated in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, marks the beginning of a new lunar calendar. It symbolizes new beginnings, prosperity, and happiness.

At KidzoniaCredence International School, the celebrations began with a special assembly where students and teachers shared the significance of Ugadi. The campus was beautifully decorated with mango leaves and rangoli, reflecting the festive spirit.

A highlight of the celebration was the traditional Ugadi Pachadi tasting, which embodies the six flavors of life—sweet, sour, bitter, salty, spicy, and tangy—teaching students about the different experiences that life brings. Students also participated in storytelling sessions about the origins of Ugadi and performed cultural dances representing the joy of the festival.

Ramzan: A Time for Reflection and Togetherness

Ramzan, the holy month of fasting and devotion observed by Muslims worldwide, is a time for self-discipline, prayer, and compassion. At our school, we educate students about the values of kindness, generosity, and gratitude that are central to this festival.

The celebration included an interactive session where students learned about the significance of fasting, the spirit of charity, and the essence of Eid. Our young learners took part in a Ramzan-themed art and craft activity, making beautiful lanterns and greeting cards for their friends.

To instill the value of sharing and caring, our students organized a charity drive, where they collected essential items and distributed them to those in need. The school also arranged for a special Iftar gathering where students and staff broke their fast together, fostering unity and togetherness.

A Lesson in Unity and Respect

Through these celebrations, KidzoniaCredence International School encourages students to appreciate different cultures and traditions. Festivals like Ugadi and Ramzan teach valuable life lessons—embracing change, showing gratitude, sharing with others, and respecting diversity.

As we continue to celebrate such occasions, we reinforce our commitment to holistic education—one that goes beyond textbooks and nurtures values that shape responsible global citizens.

Happy Ugadi and Ramzan Mubarak from all of us at KidzoniaCredence International School!
