Middle school learners are qualitatively different from those at the primary level. They are young adolescents, and therefore they need to be at the center of the learning process and need to be challenged. Keeping this in mind, our middle school curriculum is based on the theory of multiple intelligences and experiential learning. The activities are designed to make students think critically and solve problems by applying what they have learned to their everyday experiences. As most students in these grades have developed the ability to understand symbolic ideas and abstract concepts, they learn best by doing. So, we place a lot of importance on hands-on activities, practical learning, and exposure to real situations, including factory visits and manufacturing units.
